Call me widget w/Google Voice…pretty cool!

OMGosh…Where have we been???

We have a first today…first stitches. I got a phone call from the school that said a block hit C and he is bleeding pretty bad but it is slowing down with pressure. So I run out of work, drive like a maniac, go into the school and there he is sitting on his teachers lap with her hold a gauze pack against his head. My poor baby. Doesn’t even look like he cried. This kid is TOUGH. He actually did but got over it quickly. So we called the doc and the office said to go to ER; I refused because it wasn’t worthy of sitting in a staph infected hospital around pain killer addicts there for a fix; and letting a young resident/doc experiment with stitches. The bleeding almost had stopped. So we saw the awesome doc on rollerblades and he made a few phone calls and we ended up with a surgeon who stitched him up with 4 stitches. C did not even cry with the needles; when they were administered he clenched his fists, teeth, eyes, and fought the pain! I am amazed by his courage, strength, and will! I learn something everyday that helps me in my life through these kids! By the way, we are home 2 YEARS as of 5/23; he is 3 yrs, 4 months old and is 41.5 inches tall AND 38.6 lbs!! My BIG BOY!

So much to tell you..

I have not kept up with this blog…that much you can tell :-)   Little Awesome is doing great and growing so fast!  At 26 months old today, he no longer fits in 2T pjs, he’s more like 2.5T.  He loves being outdoors, he would play for hours outside if he could, we are hoping for warm weather fast so we can get the pool open!  His vocab is fantastic…the other day we were leaving and he said “bye bye Maxy-baby” to Max our dog!  We laughed!  He is putting 2-3 words together starting sentences, it is really amazing…

Unfortunatly we had our first ER visit on Monday; he is fine.  He accidentally took a turn into the end table that ended up hurting his forehead, nose, lip, and gums.  Within 2 days most has healed.  The doctor, nurse, and a patient all commented on how well he spoke.  They kept saying “the 3 yr old”, I said no no!  He is barely 2!  He let the doc examine him so easily and asked if doc was “working”?  LOL.  Finally, the doc had to look in his mouth once more and C said, “one more mouth”.  He was basically telling the doc he is only letting him look one more time.

Appetite-still great!  Eats everything but real turkey…potty training, not so much.  He tells us when he has to go #2, but usually after the fact.  I’m not worried about it, things will happen.

We are due for our 2nd post placement report soon; I still have to get his 2 yr pics done, so this website will certainly be updated soon – I hope :-)

Happy March Everyone!

2 Years Old, Can you believe it?

Our son just turned 2, I can’t believe it!  Where’s my baby?  We took him to his 2 yr check up and he is fabulous..weighing in at 29.4lbs and 35 in tall.  When we came home at 15 months old, the doc said he was the size of a 10 month old!  Wow…look at what nutrition can do!  He is developing some ‘terrible two’ habits.  Funny, I thought my son was sooo perfect, he’d be a breeze…not so much.  When he is tired or upset with us (coming home from work); he can really push it…I feel bad, wish I was home.  Truthfully, it isn’t fair that I only spend an hour a night with him.  Now work is ridiculous and expecting I perform miracles so eventually this will come to a head.

Good news is…vacation is just 10 days away…Thank the Lord!   Seriously.

Totally counting the days til our cruise!

23 more to go!  Little Awesome’s 1st vacation in just 3 weeks away.  He’ll have an awesome time!

He has advanced so much in such a short time.  We have been home 7 months.  When we came home he was 15 months old and in size 12 months.  He is now growing out of 2T.  He is 50th percentile for height and 97th percentile for weight.  No he isn’t chubby but the boy does eat.  EVERYTHING!  God Bless him!  He says anything you say now and boy do we melt when he says Mommeee, and Daddeee.  It is the best feeling I have ever had.  He even can draw an oval by himself!  This was unbeliveable!  He has learned all the shapes, colors, words, even spells on an IPod Touch application.  Words like SHIP, CAT, TRAIN, etc.  He moves the blocks for the letters and spells it completely.  He can point out stars, rectangles, ovals, circles, hexagons, etc!  I should actually be teaching him more since he is learning so quickly.

Gosh…I wish I could stay home and teach!

Christmas passed with many surprises but I think Little A really enjoys the summer more.  Didn’t really dig the snow this year.  That’s mamma’s boy!

So, what’s up?

I highly doubt anyone is still reading this but it is my New Years resolution to get more involved in blogging. Little Awesome is exactly that…awesome! We had a great holiday (with the exception of being terrified of Santa) but other than that-it was fun! I will be moving my blog to a free site soon and updating regularly….more info to come! Happy Holidays and Happy New YEar!
